ALL AMERICAN STREET STOCKS RULES
Changes from 2007 highlighted in Yellow


1. SAFETY EQUIPMENT: Rules apply at all times car is on track. Snell-rated SA95 or SA2000 helmet required. Roll bar padding required in driver compartment (Fire retardant recommended). SFI-approved full fire suit, fire retardant neck brace, gloves and shoes required. Recommended: Fire retardant head sock and underwear; head and neck restraints; collapsible steering shaft. Driver-side window net or arm restraints, required, minimum 16"x20" ribbon or mesh style, and must be mounted so latch is at top front of window. Minimum three-inch wide five point safety belt assembly required, must be mounted securely to roll cage, recommended to be no more than Three years old. Kill switch required within easy reach of driver and must be clearly marked ‘OFF’ and ‘ON’. HEEL TO TOE,  GAS PEDAL. RECOMMENDED.
2. FRAME: Any American OEM full body rear wheel drive passenger car, 1955 or newer, full frame or unibody. Frame must match body. Minimum 101-inch wheelbase, maximum one inch difference from side to side.  Unibodies must tie rear frame to front frame. Frames may be “X” braced. Domestic passenger cars only. Station wagons not allowed. Rear wheel drive cars only. ELCAMINO'S OK.
3. ROLL CAGE: REQUIRED. 6 point cage,  made with 1.75 Tubing.
4. DOOR BARS: All door bars and uprights must be minimum 1.75-inch O.D. and .095-inch wall thickness. Minimum three door bars, both sides, parallel to ground, and perpendicular to driver. Minimum four uprights tied from frame to top door bar on driver side, and minimum three uprights on passenger side. Steel door plates, 18 gauge or .049-inch minimum thickness, must be securely welded to outside of door bars on driver’s side. Plate must cover area from top door bar to rocker panel and from rear down post to five inches in front of seat. Must be visible for inspection.
5. BODY: STOCK APPEARING BODY. MUST HAVE OEM PANELS
6. DRIVER COMPARTMENT: Minimum three windshield bars in front of driver. Aluminum high-back seat only, bolted to roll cage. Driver seat may be no further back than rear edge of B-pillar. Driver must be sealed off from track, driveline, engine and fuel cell.
7. FRONT SUSPENSION: STOCK. OEM IN THE STOCK LOCATION FOR YEAR AND MODEL.
8. STEERING: UNALTERED FOR YEAR AND MODEL.
9. SHOCKS: One unaltered steel, non-adjustable, non-take apart, OEM-mount shock, in OEM location, per wheel.
10. SPRINGS: One steel spring per wheel only in OEM location. All coil springs must be minimum 4.5-inches O.D. and non-progressive.
11. REAR SUSPENSION: All components and mounts must be steel, unaltered, OEM, in OEM location and match frame. No weight jacks allowed.
12. REAR END: No floater rear ends. OEM, or OEM replacement steel axles only. Ok to weld spider gears only. Mini spools ok. . MUST BE IN STOCK  LOCATION. LEAF SPRING, COIL ALL OK.
13. BUMPERS/RUB RAILS: FRONT AND REAR BUMPERS, STOCK APPEARING.   Front and rear tow hooks mandatory.
14. TIRES/WHEELS: Hoosier' start' all 4 corners. Item dirt#36103 or 36105.  No softening or conditioning. Tire Grooving an Sipping is allowed..  Wheels-maximum 8 inch wide,  racing wheels allowed . Reinforcing of stock wheels recommended. Wheel spacers allowed. No adaptors allowed. Minimum 1/2 inch O.D. wheel studs. No bleeder valves.  Tires must have MINIMUM 20LBS pressure on all four corners at all times. RR Beadlock allowed.
15. BRAKES: Steel, unaltered Hydraulic OEM, or unaltered Hydraulic OEM replacement, operative four wheel disc (front) and or drum (rear) brakes,  Master cylinder must be in OEM location.
16. EXHAUST: OEM./  cast iron exhaust manifolds only. . Exhaust must extend past firewall and turn towards ground. Maximum 2-1/4" inch O.D. exhaust pipes.. Mufflers Mandatory, maximum 95 decibels @100 feet.
17. FUEL SYSTEM: . Must remove carburetor choke plate. CARBURETOR MUST  HAVE CHOKE TOWER. OEM STOCK APPEARING CARBURETOR ONLY. No carb spacer. ADAPTERS ALLOWED. One. Fuel cell required, must be in minimum 18-gauge steel container. Must be securely fastened in trunk above level of OEM trunk floor, by minimum of two .125-inch thick, solid steel straps, two inches wide around entire cell. Metal firewall must be between driver and fuel cell. All cell mounts must be steel, securely welded to frame/cage. No adjustable fuel cell mounts. Fuel cell vents, including cap vent, must have check valves. Fuel lines through driver compartment must run through metal pipe or metal conduit. No fuel filters in driver compartment. No cool cans .Electric fuel pumps must be mounted in trunk. Factory fuel systems only. FUEL INJECTION ALLOWED ONLY IF STOCK APPLICATION . MUST HAVE A OIL PRESSURE SWITCH FOR SHUT OFF ON ELECTRIC FUEL PUMPS.        
18. FUEL: Gasoline only.
19. BATTERY/STARTER: One 12-volt passenger car battery only, must be securely mounted and enclosed in a marine type box. behind seat or in trunk area. Starter must bolt in OEM location. Must have capability of starting without being pushed or pulled. Must leave initial staging area on demand, unaided, or go to rear of that race.
20. GAUGES/ELECTRONICS: No transmitting or listening devices. OEM ignition only. No electronic traction control devices
No wheel sensors allowed on EFI cars.
21. TRANSMISSION/DRIVE SHAFT: OEM TRANSMISSIONS ONLY. All forward and reverse gears must be operation  Must have approved scattershield constructed of .125-inch by three-inch steel, 270 degrees around flexplate. All Cars must have scatter shield.. Flexplate must be full, unaltered OEM, or OEM replacement.  Must have torque converter when using an automatic.
Drive shaft: Steel drive shaft (minimum 2.5-inch diameter) and slip-yokes only. Drive shaft must be painted white. 360-degree driveshaft loop required and must be constructed of minimum .25-inch by two-inch solid steel, or one-inch tubing, mounted six inches back from front U-joint.
22. WEIGHT RULE: 3300 LBS with driver. FUEL INJECTED CARS MUST WEIGH 3500 LBS WITH DRIVER WITH 200LBS IN FRONT OF FLYWHEEL. BALLAST. MUST BE PAINTED WHITE WITH NUMBER OF CAR ON WEIGHT .  Must be bolted on to be able to check weight.
23. ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Engine must be in OEM location, . Engine must be OEM appearing, must be able to be used in conventional passenger car without alteration, GM with GM, Ford with Ford, Chrysler with Chrysler. NO ALUMINUM INTAKES, NO MARINE TYPE MANIFOLDS. STOCK FUEL INJECTION OK. RACING OIL PAN, VALVE COVERS, AND AIR CLEANER  ALL OK.
24. ENGINE SPECIFICATIONS:  OEM block only, except no GM Bowtie, Ford SVO or Chrysler W-2 blocks.[ Race or speed equipment not allowed.] Tech inspector has final say on Race or Speed equipment!]  Dome pistons not allowed.  Four barrel carburetor is allowed.  NO ROLLER CAMS UNLESS STOCK  APPLICATION .HYDRAULIC OR SOLID CAMS OK.  Maximum .500 lift. THIS WILL BE TECHED FROM THE RETAINER.
25. NUMBERS: The numbers must be at least  20 inches tall. NO MORE THAN 2 NUMBERS ON BOTH DOORS AND HOOD.
26.  No purse money paid.  Trophies awarded to top three finishers.  Trophy will be awarded to B-Main winner if needed.
27. TECH OFFICIAL HAS FINAL SAY IN ALL DECISIONS!  IF IN DOUBT ALWAYS REFER
