Cottage Grove, Oregon- Street Stocks at Cottage Grove Speedway has seen some very talented drivers participate in the division since its inception in 2006. It is a great springboard for drivers to get some laps under their belt and graduate to the Late Model or Modified divisions or elsewhere for that matter. 2016 marks ten years that the class has been around the historic ¼-mile clay oval.

Last season would see Chris Sine dominate. Sine would obtain eight wins in fourteen starts to become the seventh different champion in the Street Stocks. He will look to follow in the footsteps of T.J. Langan, Andrew Langan, and Darin Crooks as drivers who have went on to win not one, but two titles. There are nine races scheduled for the classification in 2016 and their first race is Saturday April 9th.

This year should be an exciting one at “The Grove” with new faces expected to show up as well as the return of some familiar ones. Without a doubt the one race that all of the Street Stock drivers in the Pacific Northwest have circled on their calendar’s this year is the Wallbanger Cup on June 18th. The race is ran in honor of the late Mark Howard who was instrumental in the introduction of the Street Stock division at CGS. It is sure to attract the very best drivers in the Pacific Northwest region when it comes to Street Stocks chauffeurs.

In honor of Cottage Grove Speedway’s 60th Anniversary the first 60 fans through the front gate get in for FREE. Pit Gates open at 1:00, Front Gates 4:00, and Racing starts at 6:30. Tickets are Adults $13.00, Juniors/Seniors/Military $10.00, Youth (6-12) - $5.00, Family Pass $30.00, and Children 5 or under are FREE. Pit Passes will be offered for $30.00 each.
