Shane Stewart Triumphs at Cottage Grove

Bryan Hulbert - Cottage Grove, Oregon (July 18, 2012) Behind the wheel of the Finley Farms No. 77f, Bixby, Oklahoma’s Shane Stewart took top honors at Cottage Grove Speedway this past Wednesday night.

Drawing the number three starting position in the feature, Stewart utilized lapped traffic early in the feature to capture the lead. Working the very fast but technical high line, Stewart was able to roll to his second win of the 2012 Bully Dog ASCS Northwest Speedweek presented by Contingency Connection.

Charging from fourteenth, Travis Rilat chased Stewart across the line for second with Henry VanDam taking the show position. Rick Fauver and Cam Smith held on to round out the top five.

Sixth belonged to Kyle Miller with Reece Goetz, Jesse Whitney, Cody Ridge, and Chadd Noland finishing out the top ten.

The 2012 Bully Dog ASCS Northwest Speedweek presented by Contingency Connection continues Thursday night at Sunset Speedway in Banks, Oregon with the Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series presented by MAVTV.
