Cottage Grove, Oregon- For the first time ever in the history of the Bully Dog Performance Speedweek Northwest presented by Contingency Connection the grueling series will come to a close at the Cottage Grove Speedway. The ¼-mile clay oval will be visited by the always entertaining American Sprint Car Series-Northwest Region on Friday July 5th and Saturday the 6th.

“Cottage Grove is a wonderful facility for fans who haven’t visited before,” commented Brian Crockett, Series Director for ASCS-Northwest, “it’s a 1/4-mile bullring that is always full of action and breathtaking moments. When these cars get into lapped traffic it will amaze you every time.”

There have been fifteen total Bully Dog Performance Speedweek Northwest events at “The Grove” with eight different winners being produced. Roger Crockett and Brent Kaeding are tied for most wins with one another at three apiece. Last year’s winner Shane Stewart has won twice while drivers with just a single triumph include Jason Solwold, Brad Furr, Jesse Hockett, and Wayne Johnson.

The American Sprint Car Series-Northwest Region has made seventeen visits to CGS since 2008. Seven different drivers have emerged victorious with Roger Crockett leading the list with seven wins, including the June 1st event this year, and Jason Johnson at four. Shane Stewart has two series wins at the 1/4-mile and is joined by Jesse Hockett, Henry Van Dam, Brady Bacon, and Wayne Johnson with just one visit to the winner’s circle.

For both days the pit gates open at 2:00 PM, front gates 4:00, time trials 5:30, and racing stats around 6:45. Admission prices for both nights are Adults $17.00, Seniors/Military/Juniors (13-17) $13.00, Youths (6-12) $7.00, 5 and Under FREE, Family Pass (Two Adults and Up To Four Youths) $40.00 and a two-day will be offered for $30.00.

In the last fifteen editions of Bully Dog Performance Speedweek Northwest there have been nine different champions. Steve Kent has the most, with four titles, while Roger Crockett has three and Brent Kaeding with two. Six drivers have won the entire kit and caboodle just once which is a very impressive list of winners. That list includes Brad Furr, Jesse Hockett, Bud Kaeding, Kyle Larson, Shane Stewart, and the 2012 victor Mitch Olson.
