Northwest Wingless Tour To Bring Excitement At Herz Precision Parts CGS Wingless Nationals

Cottage Grove, Oregon- The prestigious Cottage Grove Speedway Wingless Nationals is back at the historic ¼-mile clay oval after a year hiatus. And presenting the action will be the great folks at Herz Precision Parts. The event will take place over the course of two days starting with Saturday August 31st and concluding on Sunday September 1st. There have been three previous editions of this event which all have been won by Kyle Miller.

Tickets for the races on Saturday and Sunday are $12.00 for Adults, Senior/Military/Junior (13-17) $10.00, Youths (6-12) $5.00, and Children under the age of five are FREE. A Family Pass is offered for $30.00 which includes two Adults and up to four Youths. Pit gates open at 2:00 PM, front gates 4:00, time trials 5:30, and racing starts around 6:45. An exclusive Two-Day pass will be offered for the weekend are $20.00 for Adults, $16.00 for Senior/Military/Junior (13-17) $10.00, and Youths $8.00.

In 2013 there have been six different winners in fourteen completed events. Kyle Miller by far leads that win list with eight triumphs against the NWWT. Bill Winsley has achieved two wins this year while drivers who have won just once include Kyle Mehner, Sterling Kane, Mitch Hoffses, and picking up the win last week at Grays Harbor Raceway Evan Margeson.

Fifteen total NWWT sanctioned races have occurred at CGS since the series was formed in 2009. Kyle Miller has a firm grip of the win list with ten triumphs including four times this year. Kyler Barraza is the only other multi-race winner with two while Roger Crockett, Dale Smith, and Kyle Mehner each have one.

The Cottage Grove Speedway has hosted fast and exciting action as far back as 1956. Since then the ¼-mile banked oval has been regarded as a place where fast times are set and plenty of side-by-side racing occurs. Regular classes include 360 Sprints, IMCA Modifieds, NW Extreme Winged Sprint Cars, Late Models, Street Stocks, and Hornets from the months of April till October every Saturday night. In 2013 the Northwest Wingless Tour will partake in eighteen races at four different race tracks in the states of Oregon and Washington. In four seasons there have been four different champions in this organization that has started to become pretty popular among fans and drivers in the Northwest.
