CGS To Host A Pair Of Northwest Extreme Late Model Series Events

Cottage Grove, Oregon- Cottage Grove Speedway has the pleasure in 2014 to host the first scheduled race of the season for the Northwest Extreme Late Model Series. The series will visit the ¼-mile clay oval twice this year the aforementioned season-opening race on April 19th and a return visit on Fan Appreciation Night on May 10th. On both occasions the Northwest Extreme Late Model Series will be racing against the local Cottage Grove Speedway Late Models.
“I think it’s a great addition for them to race with our weekly Late Models,” commented Cottage Grove Speedway General Manager Heather Boyce, “they put on some really good shows. I wish they were here more often.”
Historically the Northwest Extreme Late Model Series has visited CGS a handful of times, three times to be exact. In those three races Collen Winebarger has won the most races as he swept the two visits the series made last year. Billy Workman Jr. is the only other driver to have won at “The Grove” as he picked up the win in the tour’s inaugural visit back in 2011.
As mentioned above the Northwest Extreme Late Model Series will kick off their season on Saturday April 19th at the Cottage Grove Speedway. So far the series will be in action for eighteen different nights at seven facilities throughout the Pacific Northwest.
