Cottage Grove, Oregon- It's been some time since Nathan Ellertson has been behind the wheel. In fact the last time was in July of 2014 for the Fall Creek, by way of Lawndale, California, pilot. That will look to change this Saturday May 9th as he plans to drive the Rebel Signs/Kevin Ellertson Racing/BC Motorsports/Wheeler Racing/Griffith Family Racing/Bear Racing Components/Archer Floor Covering #4E Rocket for the Northwest Wingless Tour season opener at Cottage Grove Speedway.

“I'm very excited to get back behind the wheel for the first time since last July,” said Ellertson, “We're going to try and follow the whole NWWT series and visit some new tracks.”

In 2014 Ellertson competed in three Northwest Wingless Tour races. His best finishes were two seventh place results one at Cottage Grove Speedway on July 12th and the other two weeks later at Sunset Speedway Park, in Banks, on the 26th. In addition to racing he will also resume the position of crew chief for his two young sons, Justin and Nathin, for their Kage Kart programs.

“I was mainly going to concentrate on my son's racing their Karts but now it looks like I'll be able to do both.”

Besides the Northwest Wingless Tour at Cottage Grove Speedway the Northwest Extreme Late Models Series, IMCA Modifieds, and Quality RV Repair Hornets will all be in action. CGS is hosting Springfield Chamber Of Commerce/Pepsi Family Night. Pepsi Family Night which means folks who purchase a Family Pass consisting of two adults and up to four youths) for $30.00 will receive complimentary small sodas courtesy of Pepsi.
