Veteran racer Rob Ireland is excited to be joining America’s best modified drivers in the Wild West Modified Shootout in 2015. He is planning on making every race, and looks forward to racing against out of town competition.

“Top modified teams from all over the country are converging on Medford.” said Ireland, “Never before has there been such a gathering.” The excitement and anticipation was obvious in his voice as final preparations were made before his leaving.

When asked about his favorite picks to win the most races Ireland answered, “I predict the fans who come watch will be the winners every night. There will not be a better entertainment opportunity than watching the best drivers battling for supremacy at our local Northwest tracks. "

We also talked about the wildcard Coos Bay, a track that normally has not modified racing.

“Ol’ Chuck Prather knows how to make a racey track surface while leaving a cushion, look for the most intense action at Coos Bay.”

Ireland sends a big thanks out to Privateer Racing volunteers for donating their time and resources to get the cars and hauler ready. Katie Ireland for supporting and making it possible for Rob to be out of the office and away from the farm for a week. John Ireland for covering the irrigation moves while Rob is gone. Kent Dollarhyde and Jim Peterson for taking vacation to dedicate themselves to being crew for speed week.

The 2015 Wild West Modified Shootout kicks off at Southern Oregon Speedway on Saturday June 13th. The tour will wrap things up at Willamette Speedway on the 19th and 20th to close the speedweek out for the second straight year. Teams from Oregon, Washington, California, North Dakota, Montana, and British Columbia Canada are expected to make the journey.

All races will be broadcasted through Speed Shift TV and you can either purchase each race for $19.95 or buy the whole week for $99.95. Orders can be made onhttp://www.speedshifttv.com. Be sure and don't miss out on these great races featuring the best Modified drivers in the Pacific Northwest region.
