Cooper Desbiens Scores Huge Victory Against NWWT At Cottage Grove

The Northwest Wingless Tour made their way back to Cottage Grove Speedway on Saturday June 27th. It was the second visit of the 2015 campaign for the Wingless Warriors. Thirteen drivers would sign in representing the states of Oregon and Washington.
Sutherlin's Cooper Desbiens set a rapid pace in the early goings of the main event. Driving the J.H. Desbiens Construction/Budget Lumber/BC Motorsports/Van Lare Streering Quickener #4D John Boy he would be slowed down only by two cautions around lap eight. Lapped traffic did creep into the picture but Desbiens kept his cool passed them as he cruised right along to his first career Sprint Car victory and only the second occasion he has tried Non-Wing Sprints.
Tim Alberding, of Salem reeled in Desbiens several times but could not quite pass him so his night would end with the Alberding Racing #52 Maxim in second and Jonathan Jorgenson, all the way from Auburn, Washington, was third in his Jorgenson Manufacturing/Shareway Industries/D.G. Machine #2J J&J. The rest of the top five consisted of the Top Coat Powder/Pure Addiction Diesel/Randy Busser Sandblasting #15R Maxim in fourth, driving by Forest Grove's Jake Gilman, followed by Tyler Fox in fifth, calling Bow, Washington home, in his J.K.G. Construction/Nordic Temperatures/Coho Liquidation #0 Maxim.
The NWWT heads to Coos Bay Speedway on Saturday July 18th for their next event. Be sure and log on to wingless.nwextremeseries.com for the latest news and information regarding the Northwest Wingless Tour.
