Cottage Grove, Oregon- Cottage Grove Speedway just have a few races left in the 2015 season so opportunities to see the clay fly are running out. The last Kage Kart race will be on Friday September 18th in what will be a great event to open the weekend up with. 360 Sprints, IMCA Modifieds, Street Stocks, and the Pro-4's will all be on hand at the historic 1/4-mile clay oval on Saturday, the 19th, for St. Jude Night.

Also on the schedule will be a charity auction with drivers donating several items that fans can win. All money raised will go directly to St. Jude Childrens Hospital. Also once all of the racing is over there will be a Powderpuff race featuring female drivers in Late Models, Modifieds, Street Stocks, or Hornets. The only requirement is that the drivers never driven a race car before.

General admission to the Kart race will be FREE of charge. Pit Passes are $10.00 and Car and Driver fees will be $35.00. The Pit Gate will open up around 3:00 PM and the Pit Meeting is at 6:00 PM with Hot Laps and Racing to follow.

Saturday night will be the final time you will see the 360 Sprints at CGS this year. Trey Starks hopes to end the night as the champion. He would become the first driver in the modern era to win the title and not have his team from the state of Oregon. Seth Nunes is behind him by just thirty-two points.

If Curtis Towns could get a good result in the IMCA Modified main event he will most likely wrap up the championship. In order to do that he absolutely must finish ahead of Steve Sturdevant. The maximum points a driver can get is forty, that is if more then ten cars show up. Sturdevant trails by forty-one markers.

Chris Sine will look to continue to show his dominance in the Street Stock ranks. With eight wins this year Sine is on the verge of locking up the title too.

The Pro-4's will be in the house for their only appearance in 2015. These cars are always a treat to watch so be sure and don't miss out on it.

Admission prices are Adults $13.00, Juniors/Seniors/Military $10.00, Youths (Ages 6-12) $5.00, and 5 & Under FREE. Pit Gates open at 2:00 PM, Front Gates 4:00, Qualifying 5:30, and Racing begins right around 6:45. Be sure and keep up to date with the latest news and information on CGS by logging on to www.cottagegrovespeedway.com or call the Northwest Track Hotline at (360)-699-RACE.
