Cottage Grove Speedway Returns For Kids Night On June 4th; Kids 12 And Under Get In FREE And Includes Bike Giveaway

Cottage Grove, Oregon- After a busy weekend for the Marvin Smith Memorial Grove Classic the Cottage Grove Speedway returns for racing on Saturday June 4th. The event is billed as Kids Night, which means children twelve and under get in for FREE. There is also going to be a bike giveaway during intermission with several bikes raffled off for all sorts of different ages. RAFFLE TICKETS FOR THE BIKE DRAWING COST NOTHING and is one per child. Classes in competition include the Clark Printing Extreme Sprints, IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sport Mods, and Quality RV Repair Hornets.

The Clark Printing Extreme Sprints have raced four times in 2016. Dusty Redmond leads the win column with two trips to victory lane. He currently is the only driver to have won more than once. Dave Hibbard and Ricky Ashley are the two other victors.

The IMCA Modifieds have seen a bunch of competition in the first few months of the season. Mark Wauge is the only multi-main event winner in the current campaign. Collen Winebarger, Kinzer Cox, Craig Hanson, Curtis Towns, and Jesse Williamson are one-time victory lane visitors this year.

The IMCA Sport Mods have been dominated by one name and one name alone, Braaten. Jorddon Braaten is a perfect three for three in the division. Will he continue his unblemished record?

Finally the Quality RV Repair Hornets has witnessed a bit of a power shift. Josh Corley had an impressive streak of three wins during the course of the year but his teammate, Joe Maricle, is creeping up on him. Marcile has won the last two consecutive features and aims for his third on Saturday. K.C. Scott is the only other driver to have won and he was triumphant during the Season Opener in early April.

Tickets are Adults $13.00, Juniors/Seniors $10.00, and a Family Pass $30.00. As will happen all year long in honor of our 60th Anniversary the 60th fan through the Front Gate gets in for FREE. Pit Gates open at 2:00 PM, Front Gates 4:00, and Racing is scheduled to start around 6:30. For more information log on to www.cottagegrovespeedway.com.
