Cottage Grove, Oregon- Cottage Grove Speedway will have two fun-filled action-packed events this coming weekend. It all begins on Friday June 24th for the second Fast Friday of 2016. General Admission (Ages 6+) get into the races for just $5.00! Saturday the 25th will be the return of the Logger’s Cup which is the biggest Late Model race of the season at CGS. Classes in action on Friday are IMCA Modifieds and the Quality RV Repair Hornets while Saturday features the Late Models, Wingless Sprint Series, IMCA Modifieds, and Quality RV Repair Hornets.

The Late Models have had four different winners in as many races. Rob Campos pulled off a big win last weekend and joined Darren Coffell, Britton Donahoo, and Ron Brewster as 2016 victors. Curtis Towns won the 2015 edition of the Logger’s Cup.

The Wingless Sprint Series has visited Cottage Grove just once this year. Teenager Cooper Desbiens was the winner of that race. Rob Lindsey is the top point earner after the three events including two wins, one at Madras and the other at Elma, that he’s managed to accumulate.

The IMCA Modifieds are coming off of a very busy schedule with the recent conclusion of the Wild West Modified Shootout. CGS has already had ten IMCA Modified events with an impressive win list already. Mark Wauge is still the driver with the most triumphs, at three, including one of the Wild West Modified Shootout races at “The Grove”. Single race winners include Craig Hanson, Jake Mayden, Curtis Towns, Collen Winebarger, Kinzer Cox, Jesse Williamson, and 2016 Wild West Modified Shootout champion Kellen Chadwick.

Brett Moffett scored a massive win against the Quality RV Repair Hornets on Saturday. Josh Corley has the most trips to victory lane with four while Joe Maricle has an impressive three. K.C. Scott is the only other race winner this year.

Tickets for Saturday are Tickets are Adults $13.00, Juniors/Seniors $10.00, Youth (6-12) - $5.00, Family Pass $30.00, and Children 5 or under are FREE. As will happen all year long in honor of our 60th Anniversary the 60th fan through the Front Gate gets in for FREE.
