Cottage Grove, Oregon- The I-5 Super Late Model Series will head to Cottage Grove Speedway on Saturday, August 6th for their second and final visit to the ¼-mile clay oval. Already CGS has hosted some incredible action in local Late Model competition and it should be a thriller of a race with $1,000.00 to win on the line. The top flight talent of the entire Pacific Northwest is expected to be in attendance.

So far in 2016 there have been thirteen different races, at three different facilities, producing seven different winners. Joey Tanner and Rob Mayea are tied for the most wins thus far with three each. Two-race winners include Collen Winebarger and Justin Duty while single feature victors include Brian Cronk, John Duty, and Jeremy Shank.

The I-5 Super Late Model Series has one previous visit at “The Grove” and that was on June 25th for the Logger’s Cup. John Duty was the winner of that race.

In the CGS Late Model scene, Ron Brewster now has the most victories with his win last weekend. Brewster has been a three-time victor while Britton Donahoo is the only other multi-feature winner with two, Drivers who have won once include Darren Coffell, Rob Campos, Jesse Williamson, and the aforementioned John Duty.

Times for Saturday are Pit Gates open at 2:00 PM, Front Gates 4:00, and Racing is scheduled to start around 6:30. Youth (6-12) tickets are $5.00, Family Pass $30.00, and Children 5 or under are FREE. As will happen all year long in honor of our 60th Anniversary the 60th fan through the Front Gate gets in for FREE. For more information log on to www.cottagegrovespeedway.com.
