Kinzer Cox Wins First Career ISCS Race Of Season

Cottage Grove, Oregon- For the second occasion of 2018 the Interstate Sprint Car Series would pay a visit to Cottage Grove Speedway. Twenty-three cars would fill the pit area for the Saturday, June 23rd date representing the states of Oregon and Washington. It would be the third completed event of the ISCS schedule.

When the checkered flag would drop Kinzer Cox would take care of the field and claim victory. It is the first career triumph for the young Cottage Grove native with the ISCS Sprint Series. Junction City veteran Shane Forte was the runner-up followed by Dave Hibbard, of Medford, in third. The rest of the top five was made up of Raquel Ivie, hailing from Creswell, in fourth with fifth going to Harrisburg teenager Tyler Thompson.

The Interstate Sprint Car Series takes the rest of the month of June off and will next be in action on Friday, July 27th at Willamette Speedway and a return trip to Cottage Grove Speedway on Saturday, the 28th. For more information stay tuned to the ISCS Facebook page.
