Cottage Grove, Oregon- Cottage Grove Speedway would host the final race of the 2018 Speedweek Northwest schedule on Saturday, July 14th. Playing the role of support classes would be Late Models, Street Stocks, and the Quality RV Repair Hornets.

Craig Hanson, of Albany, scored his first Late Model win of the season at CGS. He would take over the lead on the opening start and stayed out in front the entire distance. The House of Bloom would duke it out in the Street Stock main event with Ray, of Cottage Grove, and Eugene’s Hunter exchanging the lead on several occasions. Hunter Bloom took full control of the top spot on the sixteenth lap to collect his first victory this year. Creswell’s Graig Osborne would dominate the Quality RV Repair Hornets, once grabbing the lead on lap five, to earn his sixth triumph of 2018.

Cottage Grove Speedway will next host the Mark Howard Memorial Modified Nationals. It will contested over the course of two nights beginning Friday, July 20th, and concluding on Saturday, the 21st. For more information be sure and log on to www.cottagegrovespeedway.com.
