Cottage Grove, Oregon- ¼-mile action resumed at Cottage Grove Speedway on Saturday, September 8th, for Back To School Night. Five classes comprised of the card with healthy car counts in every single one of them. They included the Todd’s Auto Body Sprints, Late Models, Street Stocks, Quality RV Repair Hornets, and Dwarf Cars.

Harrisburg’s Tyler Thompson took care of business in the Todd’s Auto Body Sprint Cars. Leading every single lap of competition, he went on to pick up his fifth win at CGS this season. Preston Luckman took over the top spot on lap nine and didn’t look back enroute to his sixth Late Model triumph of the current campaign.

Cottage Grove native Ray Bloom was the dominant force in the Street Stocks. Obtaining the coveted lead on the ninth circuit he went unchallenged to get his fourth victory this season. A late race pass occurred in the Quality RV Repair Hornet main with Graig Osborne getting to the front capturing the seventh win of his incredible season. Lastly Medford’s Camden Rosbustelli blazed the trail, once getting the position on lap ten, to “park it” on the front stretch in the Dwarf Cars.

Cottage Grove Speedway has just one weekend of racing left. It kicks off Friday, September 14th, for the Karts. It only gets busier on Saturday, the 15th, featuring the Todd’s Auto Body Sprints, Late Models, Mohawk Metal IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sport Mods, Street Stocks, and the Quality RV Repair Hornets.
