Cottage Grove Speedway
CAN WE JUST CALL THIS ONE A RAINOUT...
That's right, we are canceling yet another race weekend here at Cottage Grove Speedway. I have gotten many phone calls, emails, and texts asking when we are going to open and what the plan is, the short answer is I just don't know. I realize that other racetracks are beginning to open and hold events however we are not yet in a place to do that. We also are just not able to hold events without fans, each race comes with a great deal of expenses and without fans we just would not be able to cover those, at this point scraping by to keep the fixed costs covered is becoming quite the challenge. I know you are all excited and ready to get going, trust me I am as well. This shutdown has been incredibly difficult for me and the second we are cleared to open we will! I will do my best to keep everyone updated on the status of things here and I am hopeful that even if racing is still a little ways off maybe we will be able to hold practices or track rentals soon. I hope to see everyone soon, until then stay home, safe, and healthy!
