Cottage Grove Speedway
INFO FOR SATURDAY, AUGUST 29TH!! WINGLESS SPRINTS RETURN THANKS TO HERZ PRECISION PARTS!!
This Saturday we are back in action with 6 classes including what may be the one and only stop this year for the Wingless Sprints and Northwest Focus Midgets! Limited Sprints, IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sportmods, and IMCA Sport Compacts will all be racing as well! We are asking all of those that are planning to race to call Heather at 541-729-8666 so that we can be sure we are able to comply with all of the Covid-19 regulations. Please don't assume that we know you are coming!
Spectators are still not allowed per the governor's order however all of the action can be caught live at www.dirtovaltv.com and pit passes can be purchased for $40.00 at the gate.
In order to be able to continue to pay full purses we are asking for sponsors to pay 1st place for each class, if you would like to contribute the breakdown by class is as follows:
Sport Compacts - $50.00
Sportmods - $250.00
Midgets - $250.00
Modifieds - $500.00
Limited Sprints - $500.00

Once again the pit area will be split into 2 sections, the regular pits in the back will house Wingless Sprints, Limited Sprints, and Modifieds. The front parking lot will be Sport Compacts, Sportmods, and Midgets. Please continue to check the website and facebook as this may change. All line-ups and staging for these classes will be done from that class's pit area.
There will also be a 2nd pit window at the front gate to make things easier for those pitted out front. This window will also serve a limited menu in addition to the full concession in the back pit. Sport Compacts, Midgets, and Sportmods will need to sign in and draw pills from the FRONT pit window and Wingless Sprints, Limited Sprints, and Modifieds will need to do it from the BACK pit window. If you are running multiple classes you may need to check in and draw pills from both windows.
Gates will open at noon, please do not park until gates are open and an attendant has shown you were to park. We are once again expecting a large turnout and need to be sure we have room for everyone, please be patient and courteous to parking staff!! Some spaces have been reserved for the season, please check with the parking staff to make sure you are not in a reserved space.
All grandstands will be open as pit stands to allow for social distancing, pit passes can be purchased for $40.00. You are not required to enter with a team but all personal vehicles need to park at the fairgrounds. You can also purchase the race live at www.dirtovaltv.com
Please remember that our entire property is considered a pit area at this time, everyone here must have a pit pass!! Also there is no alcohol allowed anywhere in the pit area. Photography and videography is completely prohibited at this time by anyone other than our staff, this applies to our entire property.
Please remember these rules are in place so that we can stay open and keep you all racing. If any of these rules seem unfair or you won't be able to follow them please stay home, also if you have any symptoms of covid-19 or aren't feeling well we ask that you stay home.
The rest of you we will see Saturday night for an awesome night of racing at Cottage Grove Speedway!!
