MARVIN SMITH MEMORIAL FORMAT FOR 2023!!
2023 Marvin Smith Memorial Grove Classic Format
2 laps of qualifying:
If 4 heat races are ran, we will split into 2 groups. Group 1 will be in heat 1 and 3, group 2 will run heat races 2 and 4.
4 car invert in heat races
4 heat races top 4 go to A Main (If not 4 heat races, this will be adjusted)
Fastest 6 cars that make it thru the heat will run a 6-lap dash (Sunday fastest 4 will join Saturday’s locked in 4 from A-Main)
The dash will be lined up by a random draw on Saturday. Sunday the 4 locked in will draw for spots 1-4 and the fastest 4 that make it through heat races on Sunday will draw for 5-8
The rest of the cars that make it thru the heat will get their time back and start heads up behind the dash
B mains will be lined up by heat race finish alternated.
Winner of each B Main will get their time back behind the dash cars
Top 4 Saturday A Main Finishers will be Locked in to Sunday’s A Main and Dash
